The Pollinator Habitat Establishment & Management Guide is a great resource for anyone interested in learning more about pollinator habitats at any stage of their development.

Below are a few other interesting resources including information for native plant blooming times, plant-pollinator relationships, and more!
Native Trees & Shrubs for Pollinators
Native Flowering Plants that Attract Beneficial Insects
Native Plants for Monarchs in Michigan
Mlive: Black swallowtail could be Michigan's first state butterfly

When we think about pollinators, flowers are the first thing to come to mind.
However, native grasses are also necessary for pollinator habitat.

Think of flowers as food, and grasses as shelter. Pollinators need both in order to thrive so a mix of native grasses and wildflowers is ideal.

Michiganwildflowerfarm.com has some great mixes and information available, check them out!

Native Grasses, Rushes, and Sedges Index

As the saying goes: Sedges have edges, rushes are round, grasses are hollow; what have you found?

Check out these how-to guides for pollinator gardens and rain gardens!
