The Gladwin City Park Project
In partnership with Central Michigan CISMA and the City of Gladwin
The Gladwin City Park Project is a restoration project focused on removing invasive species from the City Park property and providing native species the opportunity to grow and thrive.
The work here is far from done. We are focused on long term health, and this is the first step in an ongoing effort to rehabilitate this public space into a healthy, vibrant environment.

The project officially began in 2023 with planning, education & outreach efforts, signage and boot brush installation, and native tree marking. Forestry mowing began in January 2024, clearing about 20 acres of invasive species dense areas along the Trail of Two Cities. In Summer 2024, herbicide treatment followed up the forestry mowing to tackle the expected invasive resprouts.
