2nd Annual Fall Harvest Potluck
Saturday, December 14th at 12:00pm
Gladwin Conservation District Office (750 M-18, Gladwin, MI) Let's celebrate a generous harvest and good company to close out 2024! All dishes are welcome, with bonus points for recipes that include hunted, foraged, or homegrown food. This is a get together to celebrate the idea that there is nothing better than knowing the whole story behind the food on our plate. This event also doubles as the Friends of the GCD December meet-up, so if you're interested in the group, this is a great opportunity to learn more. |
New Year's Hike & Winter Tree ID
Wednesday, January 1st at 12:00 pm
Gladwin Recreation Area (1365 N Shaw Rd, Gladwin, MI) Join us for a 2ish mile hike in the woods to kick off the New Year. We'll also be talking about Winter Tree ID with resources to get you started! Last year we had a great turnout of people ready to start the New Year outdoors and we'd like to keep that tradition going! We'll even be bringing cookies and hot chocolate to cover all of our bases. Be mindful of the weather, we could have 3 feet of snow or 60 degrees and sun, who knows. Either way, we welcome you to come celebrate the New Year with us! |
