Tree Identification

MSU Extension Identifying Trees of Michigan E2332
There are a lot of tree ID resources out there but this one is a favorite of ours. If you're looking for scientific detail, this may not be the resource for you, however, it is a fantastic general guide presented in an accessible way.
It includes:
  • Dichotomous identification keys for the growing and dormant seasons
  • Description, notable info, and illustration for 69 common Michigan tree species
  • Anishinaabemowin name for many species
  • Written and designed for a wide audience, as young as upper elementary
  • Glossary for terms within the guide
